When we were close to the zebras, it always amazed me how bright white and dark black their coloration appears- it felt like it must be paint or stage makeup! Unless they have been rolling in the red dirt of Tarangire or the green grass of the Serengeti- then it feels like the children’s joke- what is white and black and red all over?
Zebras frequently stand in groupings and in opposite directions to watch for predators, and confuse them with their stripes. That idea inspired this triptych. Paintings can be purchased as a grouping for a discount. Please contact me for group pricing.
Each of these paintings are available. If you are interested in bundling these paintings contact Jennifer Carwile at KelwoodContemporaryArt@gmail.com.
