We visited Tanzania in the dry season, so hippos crowed together, louging in the remaining water.  Hippos have very sensitive skin, so when the sun is out, they stay in the water for most of the day.  They were not particularly polite with their business- the bubbling water that has a greenish tint, which our guide called “Hippo Juice.”
